There is simmering tension at Suhyen a suburb of New Juaben North Municipality in Eastern region after Ankobeahene Barfuor Asare Kwatia locked the community center.
Information gathered by Bryt FM indicate the on January 18,2023, the Suhyen Ankobeahene,allegedly attacked the security man in duty and forcibly took away the keys ,locked the facility has since refused to open it .
This means services and all items including chairs for hiring at the community center cannot be accessed.
The action of the Ankobeahene has sparked anger deepening Chieftaincy dispute in the community.
Meanwhile, Assembly member for Suhyen Peter Twumhene has petitioned the District Assembly calling for it immediate action to take the keys from the Ankobeahene since the community center is bonafide property of the assembly.
