Former minister of trade and industry, John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, claims that he is the best candidate to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory in the 2024 election.
He claims that his campaign for president is an effort to carry on the positive job started by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“If Nana Akufo-Addo is leaving office today after doing such tremendous work, then it is imperative for us to get someone who can continue that work. That is the reason why I am sacrificing myself for the NPP to elect me to lead them and bring victory,” he said when interacting with party members in Kumasi.
Alan Kyerematen who will be contesting for the NPP flagbearership slot said it will be worrying if the NPP loses the next presidential election after policies implemented by the Nana Addo-led government.
“Nana Akufo-Addo has done his best if you look at policies that he has been able to introduce in the country, like the One District-One Factory, Free SHS, Agenda 111, and many other things like the Planting for Food and Jobs,” he noted.
He said that the NPP has an obligation to persuade Ghanaians to vote for the party by designating President Akufo-Addo as its flagbearer “to continue with a good job” given all the development President Akufo-Addo has accomplished.
