The Effutu Libraries inaugurated ‘Girls in ICT’ to empower girls with knowledge in information technology and also expose them to enormous opportunities that exist outside their line of scope.
The program was held at the Atakyedu Library.
There was a demonstration on how to use computers to conduct academic research. Present at the ceremony were Ms Micah-Bondzi, the headmistress of Atakyedu Basic school, Mr Rockson head of IT, the branch head of Atakyedu Mr Yorke and the Municipal Librarian, Ms Gifty Sey.
Also there was a talk on Adolescent Reproductive Health by Madam Bernice and Madam Mercy from Ghana Health Service after which the Municipal Librarian, Ms Gifty Sey donated Sanitary Pads to the girls.
