Rent Control has ordered landlords in the country to register their houses for business purpose to help ease misunderstanding among tenants.
The Western North Regional Control Manager of the Rent Control, Apostle Steve Edem Ampeh, said failure to register for rent card, tenancy agreement, and registration of house is a total breach of law.
Apostle Steve Ampeh advised landlords especially in the Western North to register their houses and to contribute in tax payment to help the government to initiate policies for the country.
He disclosed there are a series of quarrels, insults, misunderstanding and fights between landlords and tenants which create a lot of confusion and an unstable environment among themselves.
Apostle Steve Ampeh stated that conflict among landlords and tenants leads to bad situations which affect nation building.
He charged landlords to write documentation for tenancy agreement and rent cards to avoid controversies adding that the rent act 1962(section 30), frowns against bad actions against landlords as it prevents residents from living in peace and harmony.
Apostle Steve Edem Ampeh pleaded with Ghanaians to support the government to implement the rental assistance scheme by providing the needed information to help others to benefit from the policy.
