The Ghana Digital Centres Limited hosted the Partnership Opportunity Delegation (POD) to Ghana at the Accra Digital Centre on 7th February, 2023.
The delegation which was led by Ms. Dorothy McAuliffe (Special Representative for Global Partnerships) included representatives from ventures and startups, educational institutions, startup ecosystem developers, climate and sustainable technology investors, Ghanaian diaspora, NGOs, and international organizations.
The purpose of the visit was to cultivate and enable collaboration and partnership opportunities between the U.S. private sector and the burgeoning innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem at the Accra Digital Centre.
The delegation interacted with technology Start Ups and SMEs including Kudigo, Grow For Me, Ayaprep, Opanet, AO Holdings as well as participants of the Centre’s Tertiary Digital Innovation program aimed at developing research/projects works of tertiary graduates into sustainable technology businesses.
The delegation also toured MTN-Ayo Intermediaries; a micro insurance service provider located at the Accra Digital Centre.
The POD Ghana 2023 is the first in-person POD since the beginning of the pandemic.
