Government of Ghana, the European Union and the United Nations launched the EU-UN Building Migration Partnerships (BMP) project.
The project aims to build the capacity of key stakeholders in the migration sector to support Ghana’s migration governance, and to reap the benefits of migration for the country’s social and economic development.
Attending representatives of the relevant governmental agencies with a migration mandate, the European Union, members of the UN Network in Ghana, and the media, are eager to play their role in achieving the Global Compact for Migration and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The project is made possible with funding from the European Commission’s Directorate General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) under the global Building Migration Partnerships Programme implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), as coordinator and secretariat of the Network, in close collaboration with Network members – made up of UN entities – and stakeholders.
It is currently implemented in three countries, Ghana, El-Salvador, and Indonesia.
