On February 22, 2023, forms were picked on John Dramani Mahama behalf by Prof. Joshua Alabi and regional chairmen amid fanfare.
Former President Mahama is expected to address the media in due course to formally announce his bid for the third time.
The Western North Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Michael Aidoo( Big Aidoo) has stated that Mahama is a gift from God citing his experience as a former president and someone who is willing and available to lead the country again as president to repair the broken economy and to redeem Ghanaians from the hardships.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Michael Aidoo (Big Aidoo) said with the crisis that we have today,an experience John Mahama has all it takes to come and save the economy as most Ghanaians are calling on his come back.
He added that NDC delegates has prepared to give him an overwhelming endorsement not less than 98% of votes and appeal to Ghanaians to transcend to the general elections because he showed a good statesman when things were going bad in dumsor era.
Mr. Michael Aidoo, moreover, stressed out that the way infrastructural development were undertaken by former president Mahama is unprecedented and managed the economy well than Akufo-Addo-Bawumia’s administration since exchange rate, cement, fuel prices were better as compared to today.
Finally, he appealed to all Ghanaians to join hands and work together to kick out the current government from power.
