The second batch of the Awaso STEM senior high school has begun reporting to school.
The government believes that building more Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) senior high schools will significantly transform Ghana’s Education sector.
This is aimed at equipping youngmen and women with the necessary knowledgeable at an early stage. The education ministry is hopeful that paying serious attention to STEM will help bridge the development gap between Ghana and other first world countries, since products from the schools would be well placed to make a real impact by solving societal problems.
Meanwhile, residents of Sefwi Awaso, in the Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, has received a significant boost as one of the STEM schools in the Western North Region.
Lord FM News Reporter, Kwame Kontor Boateng, seize the the opportunity to interact with some parents whose wards are among the fresh students and used the medium to express their excitement and profound gratitude to the government for bringing such a wonderful policy to their region and stated that the school has some of the best infrastructure and urging other parents and guardians to support the school to produce competent leaders and to become one of best in the country.
Some of the fresh students who spoke with Lord FM News expressed that they are not afraid to learn science but rather call on their fellow students to see science as a mere subject.
