As the number of cases of coronavirus on the African continent has slowly climbed, reaching more than 485 across 30 countries, some African leaders tried to prepare their countries by closing its airspace.
They have banned public gatherings, including religious ones and mosques and closed down Schools.
First case was recorded in Cairo, Egypt and Arrival date was 14 February 2020.
Another two cases in Burkina Faso were a husband-and-wife team of mega church pastors, local celebrities, who contracted the virus after attending a Lenten prayer conference in France.
Several African nations, including Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, South Sudan, and South Africa and the sub-Saharan country with the most cases, recently imposed travel bans on swathes of Europe and on the United States, countries that for years have set strict limits on Africans entering their borders.
The number of people Recovered is 46 Deaths, 10 so far in Africa.
The World Health Organisation has identified 13 countries in Africa as being at risk of the coronavirus infection and these countries include Algeria, Angola, Cote d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
They either have direct links to China or handle a large volume of travel to China.
