The leadership of the Africa Faith Tabernacle Church International have argued over the funeral of the late Superior Prophet David Nkansah ll.
According to the church’s P.R.O. Pastor Jacob Kwesi Rockson, the attention of the church’s leadership had apparently been drawn to a letter dated 9th March 2023 purportedly issued by chief pastor Peter Dzokar inviting all pastors and members of the church to a final funeral rite to be performed for the late Superior prophet David Nkansah ll and chief pastor Dora Baah.
He indicated that no member, branch, pastor, or executive should attend the alleged burial services.
The church added that, Until you receive an official letter from the National Executives, no member, branch, pastor, or executive should make any payment to any person as a funeral donation in the name of the church towards the purported funeral rites of the late David Nkansah ll and head pastor Dora Baah.
Superior Prophet David Nkansah ll died at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Wednesday, 16th February 2022 around 3:00 pm.
After his demise, the family claimed the late Prophet David Nkansah II nominated his 17-year-old cousin to be ordained as the next leader of the church before his demise.
There has been a lot of court issues.
On Sunday, 12th March 2023, the church finally elected a leader to lead the administrative affairs of the church in the person of Superior Prophet Stephen Nkansah III.
The election is the first of its kind since the establishment of the church and was necessary to help end disputes that marred the leadership in the last one year since Superior Prophet David Nkansah ll, died a year ago.
African Faith Tabernacle Church is a renowned Ghanaian indigenous spiritual church founded in the year 1919 by the late prophet Kwame Nkansah.
The Headquarters of the Church is located in Anyinam in the Eastern Region. The church has over 1000 branches in Ghana, some West African countries, and Europe.
