Unannounced school visits and inspection train by the Education minister stopped at some schools in the Eastern Region of Ghana on Monday, 20th March 2023.
Methodist Girls SHS, Mamfe, Mampong Presbyterian SHS, Secondary and Technical High School for the Deaf, Mampong Akwapim, Aburi Girls SHS, Aburi Presby ‘B’ Primary School and Demonstration School for the Deaf Primary School, Mampong, were among the schools the minister visited.
The minister encouraged all learners to emulate their predecessors since they (past students) have left behind great achievements and hence, have an enviable reputation for themselves and the school.
Dr. Osei Adutwum also entreated students to make friends with people who can positively impact their academic and social lives.
As a way of renewing and sharpening my teaching skills as a teacher, the minister taught Mathematics in one class and interacted with the students.
He again made a few promises to rehabilitate and furnish some facilities in all the schools he visited and also provide new facilities where necessary.
“I believe these students can be the best in the world. They are the ones who will make Ghana greater than before so the government is poised at helping these children get to the top regardless of their backgrounds” the minister emphasised.
