The CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye has been named the best Outstanding CEO Support for PR Development Award at this years Ghana Public Sector PR Awards held at the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana on Friday.
The award according to the Scheme is a result of his efforts to establish the Corporate Affairs Directorate as an integral part of management since taking over as NHIA’s CEO.
His familiarity with PR and interactions with members of the PR Unit, allowed him to identify their needs and be able to provide the necessary support, which was also recognized by organisers of the awards program.
The Ag. Director for Administration, Mr. Raymond Avinu received the award on behalf of the Chief Executive.
Mr. Oswald Essuah-Mensah, the Ag. Director for Corporate Affairs, was recognized as one of the Top 25 PR Leaders in the public sector.
Upon receiving the award, Mr. Oswald Essuah-Mensah thanked the Board and Executive Management as well as staff of the Corporate Affairs Directorate for their tremendous efforts and pledged to continue working even harder to make the NHIA’ s Corporate Affairs Directorate and their PR work a force to be reckoned with.
The goal of the Public Sector PR Award Scheme is to recognize PR professionals who have contributed significantly to the public sector over the years, achieved outstanding feats, raised the bar for excellence in the profession and sector, and deepened interest in the profession among young professionals to help them become more purposeful and resilient.
