The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western North Region has concluded vetting parliamentary aspirants ahead of its May 13, presidential and parliamentary candidates’ elections on Tuesday.
Three persons filed nomination papers to stand as parliamentary candidates on the ticket of the NDC in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency and went through the vetting process successfully.
The aspirants were; Lawyer Stephen Kingsley Bennie a better of the NDC li gall team and the Western North Regional Research Officer, Mr.Kwame Obeng Adjinah popularly known as RORAL a business man and Mr.Bright Asamoah Brefo the 2012 NDC Parliamentary candidate.
The process which began this morning Tuesday saw a large crowd of followers throwing support behind their favourites.
Speaking to the media after his vetting, Mr.Kwame Obeng Adjinah appealed the constituents to have trust in him and he is the only candidate who can retrieve the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency Parliamentary seat from the NPP and work hard to secure victory in 2024.
“First of all, let me commend the vetting panel, it was a very smooth exercise. They asked relevant questions and made all of us commit to working harder to improve our numbers. It was a very successful exercise. I would like to thank the all NDC supporters in Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency for the confidence they have in me,” he said.
“I want to put it on record that nobody was denied the opportunity to contest. No one was stopped, and even the way the party’s structure is in the filling processes and opening of nominations, you couldn’t have denied anybody,” he stated.
