The Ghana National Fire Service Ahafo Regional Commander, ACFO I J.Y. Koranteng and his entourage visited the burnt laboratory of Newmont Mines at Kenyasi to ascertain the extent of damage.
The Regional Commander and his officers, after the assessment on the burnt facility, engaged management of the mines on the need for the service to make safety recommendations for the reconstruction of the laboratory.
Newmont mission is to build a sustainable mining business while leading in safety, environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
Newmont primarily mines gold and copper, as well as silver and other metals and minerals.
