A group of Officers of the Ghana National Fire Service drawn from the Headquarters, AICC, Tema and Greater Accra Regions partook in this year’s World Safety and Health Day held at the Accra lnternational Conference Centre (AICC) to discuss a new bill to be passed in Parliament concerning the establishment of National Occupational Safety and Health Authority (NOSHA).
The bill when passed into law will bring all Inspectorate and Occupational Health and Safety Departments in the country under one umbrella to manage and control all workplace related health and safety risks to reduce accidents and injuries to the barest minimum.
This year’s World Safety and Health Day was celebrated with the theme “Safety and Health a fundamental of work”.
In attendance also were the Greater Accra Regional Fire Commander, ACFO I Roberta Ghanson and DO I Michael Ato Korsah from the National Headquarters.
