Snippets of information reaching the desk of mybrytfmonline.com indicates that Kwadwo Akwaboah Senior, father of renowned Ghanaian musician, songwriter and producer, Akwaboah Jnr has joined his ancestors.
Mr Akwaboah Senior passed away on Monday, 16th May 2023, after a short illness. He was a prominent member of the Ghanaian music industry and inspired many aspiring artists.
Kwadwo Akwaboah Senior was a talented guitarist and often played with some of Ghana’s great musicians, including the late C.K. Mann and Rex Owusu Marfo. He was also a member of the legendary Ghanaian Highlife band, the Oheneba Ntim Barima Band.
Akwaboah Jnr, who signed with SarkCess Music, has often cited his father as one of his major influences and has paid tribute to him in several of his songs.
The family will announce the funeral arrangements in due course.
