Former Ghana international Emmanuel Osei Kuffour has expressed his displeasure about Hearts of Oak and Kotoko’s failure to attract the best players in Ghana.
Both teams were noted for snapping up top players in the local scene but the narrative has changed in recent times.
Aduana Stars, Medeama and other clubs are able to battle with the two most glamorous clubs in the country for the best players.
However, Kuffour who featured for both teams before retirement has entreated them to restructure their recruitment plans in order to secure the services of the best players in the country.
“During our time, all the best players in the country were always joining us, but it’s different now,” Kuffour explained. “Hearts and Kotoko are not attracting the best of players anymore, and it is a major worry. Their management should sit up and restructure their recruitment plans well.”
With four matches to end this season’s league, Aduana lead the table with Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko occupying fifth and sixth position respectively.
