Parliament have held press briefing which was addressed by the Majority Leader, Hon. Kyei Mensah Bonsu and Minority Leader, Hon Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson to inform the press of the agenda for the second meeting of the third session.
Some of the issues discussed includes the mid-year budget review, Affirmative Action Bill and intestate succession bill and property rights of spouse.
The majority leader stated in all that 69 Bill’s and 56 instruments are expected to be tabled during this meeting.
It was also mentioned that though the list was quite tall this meeting may last for only eight weeks.
The Press took turns to ask questions which were duly addressed by the two Leaders.
This is an event aimed at engaging the Press and enhancing effective information dissemination.
