Chief Executive Officer of Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) Engineer Dr. Worlanyo Kwadjo Siabi (Member of the Volta) has revealed that illegal connections in their sector is a major challenge which if not stopped could risk continuous supply of quality water.
Ing. Dr. Worlanyo laments that about 40% of water produced by CWSA is stolen or used without making revenue thus people use it illegally or do not pay their bills a phenomenon which is seriously affecting their operations.
He made this disclosure in an interview with Asta Fm’s Nana Kwadwo Adu when he paid a working visit to the Bono East Regional Minister at his office in the capital Techiman.
For his part, Hon Kwasi Adu-Gyan outlined some selected Communities in the Bono East Region which he discussed with the CEO and expects actions to be expedited immediately to extend water supply.
