Aduana Stars defender Daniel Darkwah has insisted that his side weren’t complacent in their title loss to Medeama in the 2022/2023 GPL campaign.
The two-time Ghana Premier League winners stayed on top of the league for several months before falling short to Medeama, the eventual winners of the title.
Speaking to Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Darkwah poured out his frustrations after losing the league title.
“We weren’t complacent but I think most of our players were inexperienced even though we had some experienced players. The players really played their hearts out but its rather unfortunate we had to kiss the trophy good bye at the end.
The defender made a return to the club after stints in Nigeria but was unable to feature in the just ended season due to ITC issues.
