Over the week, the Information Services Department (ISD) in conjunction with the Ghana National Household Registry (GNHR) organized an orientation and awareness-raising workshop for ISD officers (District Officers & Commentators from Central and Volta Regions on GNHR Public Information Campaign (PIC).
The orientation on GNHR Public Information Campaign (PIC) is a component of the preparatory work being done ahead of the phase two of the household data collection exercise in the extra districts in both Regions.
Among other things, the orientation aimed at increasing and equipping officers’ knowledge of the GNHR’s goals, processes, and significance.
The Head of the GNHR, Dr. Richard Adjetey in his remarks commended ISD for their remarkable campaign during the first phase of the exercise.
He however called on them to ensure the second phase of the exercise reach the targeted audience
As part of the training, the Head of the GNHR gave a presentation on the overview and objectives of the household data collection exercise.
The Acting Chief Information Officer, Mr. David Owusu Amoah admonished the District Information Officers as well as their Commentators to ensure that the right message is delivered within their jurisdictions.
Information Services Department – Ghana was engaged by MoGCSP as a key partner to carry out PIC activities.
Established in 2016, the GNHR has been mandated to create a single national household registry from which all social protection programmes in the country will select their beneficiaries.
