The Parish Priest of Saint Paul Catholic Church who doubles as Dean of Asamankese Deanery of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Koforidua, Very Reverend Father Charles Ahenkorah has called on Youth in the Country, especially the Catholic Youth Organisation members to be a Unique signpost and direct people to follow the Lord.
According to the Dean,
Personality traits, likes and dislikes, and life experiences all contribute to making someone different from everyone else.
In a homily to end a three day Feast of Saint Maria Gorretti at Kyebi by the Asamankese Deanery Catholic Youth Organisation,Very Reverend Father Charles Ahenkorah called on the Youth to get away from friends who will lead them to immorality and stressed on the need for the Youth to dedicate their lives to God and be examplary.
The Catholic Priest urged the Youth to humble themselves to their leaders and compatriots and Contribute their financial obligations to the church, and Serve the church with their talents, knowledge and skills.
Very Reverend Father Charles Ahenkorah also called on the Youth to Contribute to Nation building by paying tax.
Chairman of the Ghana Catholic Youth Organisation, Senior Crusaders Gabriel Maurice Nartey appealed to the Youth to accept leaders positions in the church and the country and charged the Young Apostles of the C.Y.O to learn from their leaders to be able to take over in the future and become extraordinary leaders.
Over 500 Crusaders from the Asamankese Deanery C.Y.O Participated in the three days Feast of Saint Maria Gorreti at Kyebi and at the end,64 new members were Initiated into the Ghana C.Y.O.
In a related development,a total of 120 new members in the Blessed Sacrament Parish C.Y.O in Akim Ntronang of the Diocese of Koforidua were also Initiated into the C.Y.O during feast of St. Maria Gorretti.
