The National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS) and the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) have held a workshop with a focus on supporting the development and implementation of the health insurance system in Ghana.
Following the signing of an agreement between the two organizations to set up the NHIS learning center and to collaborate on the development of Ghana’s health insurance, the CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Dr Okoe Boye said that the Authority is optimistic that the collaboration would attain the desired results.
He added that the NHIS is working hard to expand enrollment in order to meet the UHC target by 2030, adding that the NHIA will tap into the South Korean health insurance system to improve the Ghana situation.
