Vice President Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia on Friday morning received at the Jubilee House, the World Bank Managing Director of Operations, Anna Bjerde, the Ghana Country Director, Pierre Laporte, and their team.
They discussed the critical energy sector and its related challenges and how Government was working through its relevant agencies to address some of the challenges with a serious focus on the immediate to long-term strategy.
The World Bank team commended Government for a lot of good decisions being taken to confront the challenges facing the sector and pledged the Bank’s support to Government to deal with the problems.
The Energy Minister, Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, and Interior Minister participated in the meeting and made valuable contributions.
