The Environmental Health and Sanitation Officers and Police Officers of the Ketu North Municipal Assembly carried out proper burial for two unknown bodies in the Municipality.
An unknown male adult who gave his name to police as Edem Katamali aged about 26 years, was found lying on Dzodze Police station premises looking very sick.
Police immediately rushed him to St. Anthony’s Hospital, Dzodze where he was admitted for treatment.
The body has since been deposited at the same hospital morgue and an announcement was made on the airwaves to trace his relatives proved futile.
On 07/06/2023 Police Officers Weta were informed that someone had hanged himself with a rope on an Acacia tree on Dzakpatakorpe road near Weta Junction, about 20 meters off W.F road and Police also informed Environmental Health Officers through the Ketu North Municipal Assembly.
Environmental Health Officers and Police visited the scene and saw a male adult about 65 years old wearing black trousers and a long-sleeved shirt hanging on an Acacia tree dead with a nylon rope tied around his neck in a decomposed state beyond recognition.
Due to the level of decomposition, the body could not be removed and conveyed to a morgue.
