Former Chief of Defense Staff, Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo Mensah has said lockdown will not help Ghana to fight against the pandemic disease in the country but rather it’s time for Ghana to practice proper sanitation.
According to him, practising proper Sanitation will protect human’s health and the environment including water bodies than locking down the country.
He said if Ghanaians begin to practice proper Sanitation, it will help the country to fight against the pandemic disease that prevalent over a whole the country.
Speaking to Abena Pokua Ahwenee on Dadi FM’s “Efa wo ho”, Mr Nunoo stated that Ghana does not need a lockdown in this emergency situation because it will affect some people because the majority of Ghanaians are by day workers.
Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo Mensah has said Ghana should not follow the directives from the foreign countries.
In furtherance, he said the government should suspend various toll booths payment in the country because the virus can spread through the exchange of money.
“Coronavirus will not kill many Africans because of the weather condition,” he stated.
“We should use our herbal medicines in this emergency situation than depending on some countries for vaccination” he reveals.
He urges Ghanaians to follow the order of the directives by the Ministry of Health as well as the precautions seriously.
