Two persons are seriously injured in a gas explosion incident at Suhum in the Eastern Region.
One of the victims in critical condition has been referred to the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua but the other has been treated and discharged at the Suhum Government Hospital.
The incident occurred on March 26, 2020, at the kitchen of Dahana Canteen. The victims are staff of the canteen. Mybrytfmonline.com has gathered that the gas cylinder was not in good condition but the owner of the facility was improvising.
Roberta Williams, Administrator with Suhum Municipal Office of National Disaster Management Organization told mybrytfmonline.com that the organization has visited the scene for assessment adding it will; continue to embark on public education on fire safety in the Municipality to ensure that users of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG.
