Former Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng in support of the country’s fight against the deadly COVID-19 Pandemic has donated some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Health Directorate.
This is an effort to support the President’s Initiative to curb the Global Pandemic, COVID- 19 and the Municipal preparedness to protect health workers to manage suspected cases in the various health centers.
The items include 50 boxes of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, 30 Veronica buckets, and 300 nose masks.
The NPP aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency after presenting the items to the hospital said the President Nana Addo’s has put in place measures to fight against this pandemic and as a good citizen, he ought to support.
Dr. Akwasi Adu-Gyamfi the municipal superintendent at the Hospital who received the items thanked Hon Alfred Obeng Boateng and appeal to other organizations to do the same.
He urged them to continue to offer selfless services to the people and assured his commitment to complement government’s efforts in the fight against the disease.
He advised the health workers to be cautious in their handling of cases and see every patient as a potential carrier of the virus.
He also urged the Municipal Health Directorate to put the items to good use and also advised Social Distancing in their work life.
