Royal Planners and Event Management in collaboration with the New Juaben South Municipality has launched the 2023 Koforidua Festival (Kofest) in the Eastern regional capital.
The primary aim of the Kofest 2023 is to attract and promote tourism and make the regional capital stand out as a tourist destination.
It also focuses to promote and increase community and artist visibility, boost local economy, bring communities together and foster local pride, help people to socialise, showcase talents, skills, and boost creativity.
Kofest 2023 is a funfair which starts on the 30th November to the 3rd of December.
A lot of various fun activities including car wash, cultural activities, exhibitions of artwork, health walk, blood donation and health screening exercise, snooker championship, play station championship, crowned with the biggest pool party with performances from Shatta wale, Wendy Shay, Amrado, Lasmid, Mr Drew, Joe B, Kofi Moole, Dope Nation and many others.
Miss Kofest beauty pageant and Legends was considered in the 2023 Kofest.
Miss kofest 23 is an evolution of beauty and the life changing experience which allows the Ghanaian woman the platform to impact society positively in her own way with support from ministry of education and tourism art and culture
The miss kofest will enable winners the opportunity to further give education to the young ones at the second circle schools as ambassadors to promote education and tourism on the topics such peer pressure, teenage pregnancy and many more in the region.
Speaking at the Kofest 2023 launch, the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Planners and Event Management, Hon. Charles Adu said that the Kofest 2023 seeks to build a Museum where Ghanaians can showcase artwork and historical items, a place where the community can come together and learn about different cultures and to experience art.
Hon. Charles Adu disclosed that there will be a public blood donation to help save the lives of others.
He invited the public to join the dinner legends night, a mutual passion that will help unite the good people of Koforidua.
Hon. Charles Adu called on the Koforidua residents to come out in their numbers to join the celebration.
