Bryt FM, a subsidiary of Joy Daddy Multimedia (JDM) has benefited from the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly’s initiative of supporting organizations, schools and the public with materials in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
The Assembly on Monday, 30th March 2020 donated Veronica bucket, liquid soap, and tissue to the media outlet in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital upon a request.
About 120 Veronica buckets and other materials have so far been distributed by the Assembly since the outbreak of the deadly disease in Ghana over a month ago.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Madam Comfort Asante, in an earlier interview with Bryt FM reporter, Nyarko Abronoma, had indicated the willingness of the Assembly to ensure sanitation within the municipality is well improved.
She added that her outfit, since its creation has done a lot in dealing with poor sanitation that had characterized the municipality, that is, desilting of gutters, ejecting of old aged refuse dumps and many others.
The MCE, however, challenged constituents to make good use of the materials provided at vantage points to help in the curbing of the spread of the disease.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Information Officer, Afia Ansaah who presented the items to the On-Air News Editor of Bryt FM, Akosua Asabea Kropah, emphasized the Assembly responded to the call due to the relationship that exists between her outfit and the media organization.
“Bryt FM is in the New Juaben South municipality but we chose to extend a hand to them because they (Bryt FM) have been helping in the broadcast of our events and programs. Bryt FM is contributing a lot to the development of the region and the country at large.”
“I think such a commitment must be commended to inspire them to do more, especially in these hard times of coronavirus outbreak” she retreated.
Madam Akosua Asabea Kropah, on behalf of management, commended the Assembly for its gesture and pledged to continue the good work of informing, educating and entertaining listeners at all times.
