Two male students at Akwamuman Senior High School in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region have faced temporary suspension following allegations of engaging in homosexual activity.
This situation has sparked investigations by both local law enforcement and the school’s disciplinary committee.
Sources from mybrytfmonline.com indicate that the two boarding students, known for their close friendship, are now under scrutiny due to accusations of involvement in homosexual activity.
The investigation was initiated when one of the students reported to his parents that his friend had allegedly attempted to engage in an inappropriate act while he was asleep.
In response to this report, the victim’s father promptly visited the school and reported the incident to the local police.
The school’s management was also made aware of the situation by the concerned parent.
Subsequently, the school’s disciplinary committee launched an investigation into the matter.
As a result, the parents of both students were summoned to the school, and it was collectively agreed that the students should be temporarily suspended while the investigation proceeds.
Furthermore, the police in Akosombo have issued a medical examination form for the victim.
Anim Addo, the headmaster of Akwamuman SHS, confirmed the incident when contacted.
He clarified that it was an allegation of attempted homosexual act.
Nonetheless, the school’s management has taken the matter seriously and is conducting a comprehensive investigation in collaboration with the police.
The headmaster mentioned that the parents are expected to bring the students back to the school to determine further actions in this ongoing matter.
This incident emphasizes the importance of maintaining a safe and disciplined school environment and underscores the necessity of conducting thorough investigations to address such issues.
