Ex-Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Mr Francis Oti Akenten has enlisted former Kotoko coach Mas’ud Didi Dramani as the best man to occupy the vacant position.
Oti Akenteng popularly known in the football circles as “Onyameba” has served in this capacity for close to ten years and finally closes the chapter on what has been a rich footballing experience.
Speaking to Accra-based Angel 102.9FM, Oti said he doesn’t support the hiring of an expatriate for the position because for rare very competent indigenous FIFA trained coaches for the position, citing FC Nordsjalland assistant.
The GFA has already begun the process of appointing a new technical director although the outbreak of the novel coronavirus is expected to slow down plans.
The new technical director among other things will be expected to help carve a new blueprint for Ghana football and synchronize it across all aspects of the game in the country.
