President Akufo-Addo has been alerted to call the Health minister, the Board Chairman of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and the CEO to order by the Health Accountants Staff Association of Ghana, HASAG.
In a press statement signed by the National President, Emmanuel Dennis Kofi Amoah dated 16th October 2023, the Association is questioning the rationale behind the re-assignment of five of its members without enough prior notification.
The Association is of the view the move by the CEO and the Ministry to take local union leaders from their current post is an orchestrated attempt to make it impossible for them to fight for their members.
The statement is, however, calling for withdrawal of the decision within seven working days or will proceed on strike to protest for the right of the affected members.
