The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal 2022/2023 batch of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has distributed over 6,000 exercise books to some selected schools in the Municipality to support needy students in the beneficiary schools.
The beneficiary schools were Bethlehem United M/A, Sefwi Adukrom M/A and Chiraa Primary School near Sefwi Bekwai.
At a separate ceremony to present the exercise books to the beneficiary schools, Hon.Samuel Kwagyire popularly known as Sir P-KAY, the Municipal National Service Scheme Director, indicated that the book’s distribution was just one of the numerous activities line up by the NASPA WEEK CELEBRATION to ensure quality education and human resource development in the area.
Sir P-KAY urged the out going service personnels to lead exemplary lives, commit themselves to their work and keep expanding on the knowledge acquired from Service.
He again called on them to work hard and relate well with people in their community to enable every person to benefit from the education they have received during service.
The ceremonies were attended by the various chiefs, community leaders, parents,teachers and students who are the direct beneficiaries of the learning materials.
Madam Gloria Gyabeng, the Deputy Municipal National Service Scheme Director, took the opportunity to encourage and inspire the students to aspire to become great and impactful members of society.
She enclosed them to take their studies seriously and desist from any activities such as way keeping, smoking, homosexuality and other social vices that would jeopardize their future.
Hon.Derick Kwabena Oduro, the NASPA President, urged teachers to be a good role model for students.
He said that children are the future of tomorrow and therefore advised them to listen and obey their parents and teachers for them to be good leaders tomorrow.
Hon.Cynthian Analem, the Women Commissioner (WOCOM) also advised the children to keep their environment clean, saying that “cleanliness is next to Godliness.’’
Other executives who joined the distribution of the exercise books were Hon.Osei Dennis Smith,the Vice President,Hon.Theresah Agyapomaah, the Financial Secretary,Hon.Ackah Boakye Emmanuel, the General Secretary,Hon.Hamza Mohammed , the Organising Secretary and Hon.Stphen Ansere, the Public Relations Officer.
The various beneficiaries at school expressed their profound gratitude to 2022/2023 NASPA executives for the kind gesture and appealed to other benevolent organizations to emulate since quality education is the backbone of every develop country.
