The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Foundation has support clubs and communities in the Volta Region affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage.
The foundation, which was established in April 2023, has donated an amount of One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS100,000.00) to the victims.
The money will be used to purchase relief items such as student mattresses, toiletries and food items (rice, gari, sugar and sachet water) and distributed to victims in the heavily affected areas.
Following the unfortunate incident, the Ghana FA boss, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku expressed his sympathy to the people and promised to support the people of the Volta Region and Oti.
The Volta Regional Football Association will undertake the exercise on behalf of the Ghana Football Association within a period of a week.
