Today, Tuesday, November 7, is the last day of the five-day voter exhibition exercise held by the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) in preparation for the district and unit committee elections.
On Friday, November 3, the nationwide polling places spanning 38,622 locations started to conduct the exercise.
It has been going on for the last four days, every day from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Voter exhibition provides potential voters with the chance to verify the information they entered into the register, especially for those who registered within the short period between Tuesday, September 12, and Monday, October 2.
At the majority of exposition venues, low participation has consistently occurred.
Yet, the majority of potential voters are using digitalization to double-check their information, according to information provided to certain media by Commission Chair Jean Mensa.
She explained that for GHp50, the EC was providing a short code (71381#) for online verification.
On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, elections will be in place for both unit committees and districts.
