The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), the Ghana Police Service, and the Environmental Health Department in Asuogyaman District have in a coordinated effort retrieved an unknown male body, believed to be between the ages of 30 and 40 years.
The operation took place at Atimpoku on November 16, 2023.
Mybrytfmonline.com has gathered that George Ampotia, the Assembly Member of the area, informed the authorities about the discovery of the unidentified decomposed body floating on the volta river.
Responding swiftly, NADMO collaborated with the police and the environmental health department to carry out meticulous processes by retrieving the body.
Following that, a medical examination, was conducted by Dr. Yeboah from the VRA Hospital.
Additionally, the team visited the Senchi Magistrate Court to sign a coroner’s form, and the body was subsequently buried around 5:00pm same day at the Senchi Public Cemetery.
