A Rhino truck has run over head of a woman killing her instantly at Akyem Begoro in Eastern region.
The fatal collision occurred around 6:00 pm, resulting in the tragic death of the woman only identified as Madam Pat.
The collision involved a Rhino vehicle with registration number GR 6413-19 and a tricycle marked M-22-GS 9357.
The victim who was traveling in the tricycle, succumbed to fatal injuries after fallen from the tricycle and run over by the Rhino vehicle.
The tricycle’s rider and another passenger sustained severe injuries and were promptly transported to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
Emergency services, including NADMO, the Police Service, and the Ghana Fire Service, swiftly responded to the scene, providing assistance and ensuring the safety of those involved.
The lifeless body of the deceased has been conveyed to the morgue.
Begoro District Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Ghana Police Service has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
