The National Education Week 2023 which is currently underway at the Labadi Beach Hotel serves as a platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange ideas, and chart a course for the future of education in Ghana.
The theme, “Education Delivery for National Transformation: The Case for STEM and TVET”.
Addressing the gathering, Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum highlighted the pivotal role of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in shaping Ghana’s educational trajectory.
Throughout his speech, he underscored the transformative potential of STEM education in fostering innovative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and technological adeptness among our students.
Additionally, the minister emphasized the critical importance of TVET in providing practical, job-ready skills, and closing the gap between education and employment.
As the week-long event progresses, it is expected that further deliberations and collaborations among stakeholders will pave the way for innovative educational strategies that harness the potential of STEM and TVET, ultimately steering Ghana toward a brighter and more prosperous future.
