To enhance efficiency and improve service delivery, the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has organized a regional staff sensitization programme on the implementation of a new grade structure and electronic Performance Management System also known as the E-PMS. The session seeks to educate staff members on the changes and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to adapt to the new system.
The introduction of the new grade structure and E-PMS aligns with the NHIA’s commitment to digitizing operations and fostering an enabling work environment for its employees.
The programme also aims at addressing staff concerns, ensuring a smooth transition and implementation of the new digital inventions.
The Sensitization Programme, led by the NHIA Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Administration & HR, Dr. Mrs. Yaa Pokuaa Baiden features presentations, interactive sessions, and a demonstration of the E-PMS and new grade system. Managers, Client Relations/Public Relations Officers, Accountants, M.I.S/ M&E Officers, and Union Reps among other ancillary staff had the opportunity to explore the features and functionalities of the new system, understanding how it can streamline workflow, enhance data management, and ultimately contribute to an improved NHIS service in the region.
Speaking at the event, the NHIA Board Subcommittee Chairman on Welfare Dr. Sylvester Oppong, emphasized the importance of the exercise, stating, “The new grade structure and E-PMS are essential tools that will revolutionize our work processes, leading us towards a more efficient and effective health insurance service provision. This will empower staff to embrace the changes and enable us to make significant strides in achieving our organizational goals.”
The NHIA commits to providing ongoing support to its employees through dedicated training sessions, workshops, and continuous monitoring that will afford staff members the means to maximize the benefits of the E-PMS and new grade structure.
