The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Dormaa East constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang has stated that Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education has played key roles in the development of every country hence its introduction in Ghana’s Education system will go a long way to enhance the development of Ghana as a nation.
Speaking in an exclusive Interview with GIFTS FM’s Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang stressed that the decision of the NPP Government to raise the standard of STEM education is a good one and it will help improve the living standard for Ghanaians since it is an avenue for Job creation and opportunities1.
He emphasized that the Dormaa East education directorate together with the district education oversight committee have instituted mechanisms to ensure the improvement of STEM education in Wamfie and its surrounding areas stating that 4 students have been drawn from each Junior High School in the district to be trained in all the STEM courses.
The District Chief Executive implored parents to offer the needed advice and support to their wards in ensuring their maximum participation in the STEM education because it is a great avenue for employment creation and the development of the country.
