Two Okada riders have lost their lives in a fatal crash on the Ajomoku to Akyem Asafo road in the Abuakwa South municipality of the Eastern Region.
Passengers on the motorcycles also suffered severe injuries and are currently receiving medical attention in hospitals.
The tragic accident occurred as the Okada riders were returning home in the early hours of Sunday after attending an end-of-year party organized by the riders themselves at Ajomoku.
Witnesses on the scene reported that the riders were recklessly challenging each other with speed, leading to the fatal crash.
The bodies of the deceased in their 20’s have been taken to the morgue.
