Intelligence gathered thorough investigations conducted has established that Felix Nyante who is now in charge of the Health Training Institutions across the country was dismissed from the Nursing and Midwifery Council, so why should the same person mandated to head the Health Training Institutions whiles he could not steer the affairs of the Nursing and Midwifery Council ( NMC ).
Information gathered by this media house revealed that because of these same extortions, he has allowed the Health Training Institutions ( HTI) to over admitted school like Korle Bu Nursing which was before admitting 400 students to pursue nursing and midwifery before this man took over, now they have admitted over 1,000 students, similarly is happening at the Sunyani and Dunkwa on Offin nursing schools , this agenda by the man in charge of the Health Training Institutions and the sector minister and his deputy is to make themselves rich even more than the President of the Republic of Ghana.
Investigations conducted hinted that almost all the nursing schools lack accommodations therefore the students have no option than to go outside campus to rent hostels, which some have to walk for long distances and have to cross major highways before attending lectures.
We are in this country which the government under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not been able to pay nurses allowances for sometime now which has been unbearable to the nurses because they have families who depends on them for their livelihood.
Based upon their self seeking selfish interest and greediness they have deliberately increased nursing enrolment with lack of accommodations to meet the students which clearly means they want the students to suffer more and in effect producing poor health delivery in the country.
This is what the government of Npp want to do to our health sector.
Credible and authentic sources from the health ministry revealed that the man in charge of the Health Training Institutions does not go to work because he has informed the health minister that he is tired and want to go on leave but the sector minister and his deputy Gifty Tina Mensah because of their connivance and selfish interest, they still want the man to stay even though he has complained he is tired and want some rest.
Several publications has been carried previously by the media about the Health Training Institutions for the past years but the health minister has been adamant to take actions because the President has given the ministry as a bona fide property to the minister and his deputy which they are doing what they like there to collapse the health sector.
Health is very essential to the development of every nation so if the health minister and his deputy are not doing their work well and the President, the appointing authority too does not want to take any actions then the good people of this country should be watchful when going to the hospitals because our health is being compromised by few self seeking selfish individuals all because of their selfishness and greed.
Further information available with checks from the ministry hints that as at now, there is no contract between the Health Training Institutions and KNUST so why are the nurses been charged to write KNUST exams for them to travel from their various schools to come to KNUST for graduation which was done on the 13th December, 2023.
During previous publications carried by the media it was indicated that some Principals of Health Training Institutions were allowed to overstayed after their retirement because they paid monies to the HR Director who was playing double role as HR Director and the head of Health Training Institutions and till now nothing was done about it because the health minister and his deputy were sleeping on the job and the appointing authority too does not want to change anybody.
There are a whole lot of rot going on at the health ministry so therefore Mr President Ghanaians want you to act now to save mother Ghana.
The over admission of nursing students to benefit them through extortions cut across all the country and instances are the Sunyani nursing, Dunkwa on Offin nursing, Korle Bu Nursing amongst others.
Mr Felix Nyante is over aged and has remained very weak that is why he is compelling the health minister and his deputy to allow him to take a rest but because of their extortions agenda they are refusing him .
