An impactful workshop organized by Bella Africa,a non-governmental organization dedicated to alleviating poverty among rural women, unfolded in Sekesua, Upper Manya Krobo District.
The workshop, attended by over 80 women, aimed at empowering them and improving living standards in rural communities.
The presence of Bella Africa in Sekesua was at the invitation of the Honourable Member of Parliament for the Upper Manya Krobo constituency, Comrade Bismark Tetteh Nyarko. The women, predominantly engaged in the production of gari, shared their challenges related to processing and marketing during the workshop.
Mrs. Dalida Couturier, the Team Leader of Bella Africa , assured the women that their concerns had been duly noted. The organization pledged to alleviate their challenges by providing essential machinery and financial services.
Expressing appreciation for Bella Africa presence, MP Bismark Tetteh Nyarko urged the women to maintain honesty in their dealings with the organization, emphasizing that transparency would benefit not only Sekesua but also other communities. He committed to supporting and complementing Bella Africa efforts in elevating living standards across various communities.
Encouraging loyalty, MP Nyarko advised the women to remain committed to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its leadership.
The workshop not only addressed immediate challenges but also fostered a collaborative effort to enhance the livelihoods of rural women in Upper Manya Krobo.
