The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection humbly invites individuals and stakeholders to participate in a walk to commemorate the 2024 International Women’s Day celebration. (IWD)
The global theme for the commemoration of the IWD is “Invest in Women: Accelerate progress” with campaign theme # InvestInWomen#.
The theme seeks to draw attention to the importance of investing in women to promote human rights, work towards building inclusive societies and reduce poverty among women.
The IWD is a commemorative event set aside by the United Nations globally to celebrate economic, political and social achievements of women on 8th March every year.
The Walk is scheduled as follows:
