A 15-year-old girl is battling for her life after she was crushed by a speeding Private car at Akyem Tafo in the Eastern Region.
The girl was seriously injured and currently at the emergency ward at the Akyem Tafo Government Hospital.
The incident occurred around 3:00pm today Saturday, April 11, 2020 after a rainfall.
According to an eyewitness, the accident happened on the Akyem Tafo to Kukurantumi New Road just after the cemetery.
He said the Benz saloon car with registration number GW 23 – 20 after knocking the girl, lost control of the steering wheel, veered off the road and knocked down two light poles and street light poles.
Four persons including some young ladies and the driver suffered minor injuries.
The Akyem Tafo Police is investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, the damaged light poles have left some areas without power supply.
