The District Pastor for the Church of Pentecost in Adenta in the Greater Accra Region, Pastor Emmanuel Oppong Donkor has noted that the word of God is not reaching most Christians well in Africa due to the failure of some Teachers to use mother tongue for interpretation.
He expressed worry over the use of English,French and Portuguese languages at some Theological Schools which he said is affecting the Teachers during interpretation to people who does not understand any of these languages.
Pastor Emmanuel Oppong Donkor who is also a Lecturer at the Pentecost University said this at Aburi in the Eastern Region during the launch of Akwapim Twi Audio Bible Old testament by Theovision International.
He called on Parents and Teachers to use mother tongue to communicate with their kids in the house.
The Pastor lauded Theovision International for Translating the Word of God into Languages in Audio.
The Founder and Leader of Theovision International, Reverend Dr. Theodore Mensah Asare said the Nonprofit Christian Organization started 35 years ago and had so far translated the Bible into Audio in 473 Languages in 37 African Countries.
Out of the number, Rev. Dr. Mensah Asare said they have 43 different Languages Audio Bible in Ghana so far, adding, Akwapim Twi Audio New Testament was translated about 30 years ago.
He said Theovision aim at recording the Audio Bible directly on solar and electrical gadgets to reach people who cannot read and understand the word of God.
The founder commended Bible Society of Ghana for their continues support as well as other local and foreign partners who have been supportive for the past 35 years.
Reverend Dr Mensah Asare said they have also established Bible Listening Groups across the Country and the groups have the Audio Bible on gadgets which they listen and debate on the message.
