Daniel Missiso, popularly known as Kwame College, a 23 Year old Farmer has been Jailed into prison custody for three years Imprisonment in hard labour by the Asamankese Circuit Court Presided Over by His Honour Abass Abubakari Adams.
The accused pleaded guilty for causing harm, contrary to section 69 of the Criminal offences Act (1960) section 29.
Inspector Samuel Owusu,the Prosecutor said Complainants in this case is a farmer and resides at Tuokrom village near Asamankese and the accused is a farmer and reside at Ntekyerekyer village near Asamankese, where he lives with his father Mr. Owusu Missiso.
He said on 28th May 2023 at
about 11:20am, the complainant and accused engaged themselves in a heated argument over the non-maintenance of Mepom- Ntekyerekyere village motor road but
accused became annoyed and threatened to fight the complainant.
The complainant went to the accused person’s house and reported his conduct to the accused father.
The accused became more aggressive and attacked the complainant with a kitchen
knife and stabbed him on his left chin and also inflicted deep cutlass wound on his left wrist.
Complainant was taken to Asamankese Government Hospital for treatment and a report was to Police and Police medical report form was issued to the complainant for endorsement by Medical Officer.
On 29 may, 2023 accused was arrested and he admitted the offence in his cautioned statement.
Accused was grant Police enquiry bail but failed to report himself to Police as instructed. On 11 June, 2023 accused was re-arrested and after investigation he was charged with the offence to appear before this Honourable Court for trial.
