The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly embarked on a strike action on Monday amidst the proposed sale of SSNIT 60 percent stake in four hotels.
Despite Organized Labour calling off the indefinite strike of public sector workers on Monday morning, workers of the New Juaben South refused to give it a listening ear.
According to sources, a section of workers at the New Juaben South municipal assembly showed up before they were later asked to leave post.
A visit by Bryt fm reporters, saw that some offices at the New Juaben South municipal assembly were locked up, justifying the strike action.
It is unknown whether staff at the Assembly will adhere to the directives from their mother body (Organized Labour) and return to work in the coming days.
Organized labour made a U-turn by calling off the strike action of public sector workers earlier announced on last Friday to protest the sale of SSNIT 60 per cent stake in its hotels.
Having called off the strike, Organized labour is expected to have an emergency meeting to decide on the next line of action after giving the Board one month ultimatum to resolve the matter.
The situation was not different in other government agencies as reporters indicated most workers were absent, while those present were mot seen busily going about their normal duties.
