Former Deputy Minister Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie on Tuesday, 14th April 2020 represented the Ketu South Constituency in a high powered meeting between the Volta Regional Council led by the Regional Minister and the Volta Caucus.
The Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa at the meeting, outlined the level of readiness by the region to combat and nib the case rise of the COVID-19 pandemic in the region and many other matters relating to the fight against the virus.
He emphasized the Council will be at Aflao and its environs to educate the people on the deadly novel COVID-19 disease insisting mitigating procedures must be strictly adhered to for the region to contain the disease.
Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the former deputy minister and the Parliamentary candidate for Ketu South Constituency, expressed her readiness and zeal to help in the fight against the disease in the constituency.
She was very happy to know from the Regional Minister of the intention of the Volta Regional Council to visit her constituency primarily to sensitize the public on how they can personally care for themselves through the laid down personal preventive measures and how to prevent the virus from escalating into the region and the constituency respectively.
It is worth to note that Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie is the first female PC to attend such high powered meeting organized by the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC).
